Clora – Environmental Music For The Multitasker

In the end of 2022 i released a new album on the amazing Purlieu Recordings (Eternal love to Linus & Linn). Cassette and digital.

Here’s a text about it:

”Environmental Music For The Multitasker is a slow cooked collection of eight songs.

The first bits were created in 2020. But quarantine and other boring stuff resulted in the equivalent of a writers block. The tracks fell asleep on a harddrive. It wasn’t until Purlieu said ”let’s do a tape” that I found the lost joy of noodling with sounds and the collected tracks were finished.

Somewhere in the start the theme was ”no theme”. I think? Can’t really remember.

Anyways I read some grumpy old guitar man saying all modern music (i guess post Toto) is just background noise for young people while doing something else. So there’s that truth and here are eight songs to ignore and have in the background.”

Clora – Sent (Lamour Recordings) [2021]

Sent was recorded during a couple of summernights back in 2017. During rehearsals for Cloras first ever live gig the foundation for Sent was created through improvisation. The gig at Norbergfestival resulted in a creative high and all of the recorded pieces from the rehearsal became almost finished tracks during those late summer nights. Then they were stored at a harddrive and forgotten. Until 2020 when they were rediscovered and finished. Some of the songs got thrown out, some of them was put back to a digital slumber and some of the became Sent that one night was sent to Lamour and is now out for late night listening.

Clora – Till Doro (Flora & Fauna) [2019]

Rural ambience and soothing electronics. An endless lullaby for the lost generation.
Clora is the acronym of Stockholm based artist Christoffer Reichenberg. Clora began in 2015 as a meditative way of turning memories into sounds.
Till Doro was recorded as a one piece good-night-sleep-tight song in 2018 for a child that was yet to be born. It is by far the most personal work so far and also the most bright and ethereal work Clora has released to this date.
Previous releases has mainly wandered off into murkier and darker soundscapes but the idea of creating something warm for a small child turned out to be inspiring.
